After completing his studies he returned to Victoria where he joined his father and brother in their construction and real estate development business. Through to the early 1980's, they developed many properties together, both residential and commercial.
In the mid 1980's, Les relocated to Arizona with his young family where he continued to participate in development of apartment properties in the Phoenix area. Les loved the sun but sadly contracted melanoma and after a courageous battle against the disease, passed away in 2002. He is survived by two sons as well as his mother, brother and sisters in Victoria.
