Biographies

Bob Hall has requested a special section to hold biographies sent in by alumni and, ta-da, here it is! Longer biographies will be provided with their own page or series of pages. Photographs to go with the biography are most welcome!

Bob Hall, our Valedictorian, Leads Off

Bob writes:

I met Diana in 1966 in a choral group called Amity Singers. We married in January of 1967 and in 1969 were able to purchase a house in south Oak Bay. Fortunately at the same time I was able to secure a teaching job. At that time Diana was working as a supervisor in a private health care company.

Kevin was born in 1970 and David in 1973. We are blessed with two grandchildren  from Kevin and Vicki (Kyle and Jonah) and a boy and girl from David and Elizabeth (Hunter and Rhiannon).

During the 45 years we have been married we have both continued our interest in Music, Diana mostly in choirs and myself in a variety of tenor roles - many in Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas. I have performed in eight of the twelve which were written. As well I have done quite a bit of Oratorio work as well as some Opera roles, here and in Vancouver.

The rather bizarre photograph is from a local production of Mikado from 2004 and the other picture is from a recent production of HMS Pinafore with George Corwin and the Civic Orchestra in March of 2012.
