Here's more end of year lassitude. These young minds are ready for summer holidays on this sunny summer afternoon. Here we see Bernd, Don, Bob McKechnie, Bruce, Bob Hall reading, the side of Roger Hall's head and the back of Neil Rawnsley's head. Neil had a good excuse to turn away; he had a girl to talk to. She had been bobbing around behind Neil either trying to get into or get out of the photograph about to be made. Karen Mar seems to be at the back. Jane, Sue and others are here whose faces are not clear in this old neg.

Gerry Hagberg suggests the following identifications: "BS", Bernd Schalke; "BT", Brenda Taylor; "NR", Neil Rawnsley; "ER", Elaine Richmond; "CO", Caroline Oliver; "JL", Jane Lowman;; "JH", Jane Hassen; "KB", is now identified as Trudy Johnstone by Sue Buxton (030309); "CR", Cliff Rutledge; "BD", Barb Doell; "DK", Don Kelso; "PS", Pat Smith; "BM", Bob McKechnie; "BM", Bruce McFarlane; "DW", Dave Webster; "BH", Bob Hall; "JL", Janice Laidlaw; "PK", Paul Kennedy;"LM", Len McNeely; "MH", Monte Holding; "KM" Karen Mar; "SB?" Sue Buxton, certainly. This girl looks like Sue to the webmaster. Now (030307) we have it on the authority of Sue herself that that is she.

Here's how these photographs start out. It becomes clearer why preparation takes so long.

This is a pixel to pixel representation of the upper left hand corner of the last frame's original scan. A fuzziness is introduced by the jpg file compression process; the dirt is much better defined in the 2.2 meg gif file!

Look at those old birds on top of the cabinet. Remember those ragged, moth eaten old stuffed birds? The one on the left was a hawk. It had been knocked off the top of the cabinet. The wire holding the bird vertical for take off had been bent on the resulting rough landing. Thereafter this noble bird suffered the ignominy of that drunken take off pose we see here. The other bird was a dignified horned owl, back turned to his faltering companion and forever staring out upon the playing fields as if in embarrassment.

Here are some faces drawn from the last frame.

Note the book and the attitude of attention. Bob Hall would have us believe that he was reading.

Here's Bruce McFarlane. He was at the reunion. A vague memory says that Bruce went into law and that he might have been on the bench by reunion. He might have been living in Kamloops in 1988.

Bob McKechnie. Was Bob at the reunion? No memory, not even an unreliable one, survives as to what Bob did after O.B.H.S. Is there a reader out there with info?
